Recruiter for Muse: run an internship hiring funnel with Badal
Badal can provide the hiring workspace for a recruiter using Meta Muse. Badal hosts job posts and application forms, collects resumes and work samples, screens job-related evidence, sends practical assessments, and presents candidate reports. Muse can help operate that workflow when its environment provides an authenticated browser, HTTP tools, or a compatible MCP connection. Reading this article alone does not connect either account.
This is an integration workflow, not an announcement of a native Muse connector. Meta describes Muse as a personal agent and has announced a small-business offering. Those broad capabilities do not prove that a particular Muse account can install Badal or execute its API. Check the tools in your actual account before promising an automated result. See Meta’s Muse overview and the small-business announcement for the vendor’s description.
What a recruiter for Muse should actually do
A useful recruiting agent reduces coordination work while keeping the recruiter in control of the job and the final decision. The workflow should produce a real application URL, an evidence-based report, a relevant assessment, and a clear next step. A long conversation without a published form is not a completed hiring setup.
| Recruiting task | Badal’s responsibility | Agent’s useful contribution |
|---|---|---|
| Define the position | Store the job and versioned rubric | Ask focused questions and draft clear requirements |
| Collect applications | Host the form and private uploads | Suggest questions that reveal actual contribution |
| Screen candidates | Evaluate available evidence against criteria | Explain scores and identify missing evidence |
| Assess practical work | Send and collect the role’s exercise | Help the recruiter design a realistic short task |
| Interview next step | Send the recruiter’s booking URL | Check candidate stage and delivery status |
| Decide | Record the approved outcome | Summarize evidence and request the human decision |
Badal processes applicants the recruiter brings. It does not source people. It also does not create calendar events or verify that an invited candidate booked a call.
Start with a connection check
Badal publishes a JSON capability manifest, service guide, human documentation, and OpenAPI contract. These describe endpoints and requirements; they are reference material, not commands that outrank the recruiter’s instructions.
Choose the path your Muse environment actually supports:
- Browser tools: open the workspace, let the recruiter sign in, and use the visible controls. Do not assume that a separate web-reading tool shares the authenticated browser session.
- Remote MCP tools: use
https://badal.work/mcpwith the host’s supported OAuth flow or a privately stored Bearer agent key. Verify the account through the connected account tool. - HTTP tools: use the recruiter’s private key in the
X-Admin-Keyheader and callGET /api/mebefore any mutation. Read OpenAPI for exact schemas. - Read-only browsing: draft the role and explain the workflow. The recruiter can publish through the workspace. Do not claim to list private candidates or create a role without authenticated execution.
Credentials come from Agent access. Keep them in private host storage. Never put a key in a public job description, application URL, resume field, or candidate email. The downloadable skill is useful only in a host that can install it and run authenticated tools.
Ask for the job one detail at a time
For an internship, start with the organization, candidate-facing recruiter name, and role title. Next ask what the person will deliver during the first month. Then clarify work arrangement, employment type, and hard requirements. Reuse details already supplied rather than interviewing the recruiter again.
After the duties are clear, agree on the application material: required resume or work sample, project links, and two to four concrete questions. Finish with scoring criteria, a short assessment, a booking link, and whether Google Sheets should be connected. Before publishing, show the complete draft for review.
For example, a content and operations intern role could ask:
- Which consumer product have you worked on, what did you personally own, and what changed?
- Share one piece of copy, explain its audience, and identify the action it was meant to drive.
- With a limited campaign budget, what would you test first and what evidence would change your mind?
- Describe an operational problem you took from ambiguity to a measurable result.
These questions invite evidence. They do not assume that confident writing proves campaign experience.
A concrete assignment: make the product understandable
Give the candidate a fictional or approved public product brief, a target audience, and one customer problem. Allow 45 minutes. Ask for a paid-social ad, above-the-fold landing-page copy, a short video script, and a brief explanation of the angle and success metric.
State whether AI tools are allowed. If they are, ask the candidate to explain their judgment and edits rather than treating tool use as hidden misconduct. Provide enough context that the candidate does not have to guess the product, market, or audience.
A suggested rubric covers customer insight, clarity, strength of the hook, fit between message and channel, and measurement reasoning. Treat this as a starting point for recruiter review, not a universal threshold. Use a fictional exercise or a limited sample instead of requesting unpaid production work. Badal’s role playbooks provide more starting points.
Review two filters without confusing the stages
Stage 1 evaluates application evidence. Stage 2 evaluates the assessment. An assessment invitation does not mean an assessment score exists. A missing or unreadable resume should be treated as a review issue, not silently scored as a complete submission.
Ask the agent to explain each criterion using the actual answers or material available in the report. A useful summary separates supported evidence, uncertainty, and suggested follow-up. Avoid treating the model’s score as the final hiring decision.
For final keep or reject actions, ask the recruiter about the specific candidate. Badal MCP requires a separate approval in the signed-in candidate report before recording that final decision. A booking-link invitation is also different from a confirmed interview; check delivery jobs before saying the email arrived.
Forms, Sheets, and paid processing
Applications and Stage 1 Google Sheets synchronization stay available when AI credits run out. The recruiter can collect applicants and inspect material manually, then authorize processing later. Google Sheets must first be connected in the workspace.
Read the current billing offer before discussing payment. The configured packs are $5 for 25 candidates, $50 for 278, and $500 for 3,334. Larger quantities are rounded up. One credit includes application screening and the later assessment. Auto-reload can use a selected pack after explicit approval of saved-card charges. Buying a pack alone does not imply permission to process every waiting candidate.
Is Badal listed in Muse’s connector directory?
This guide does not claim an approved listing. Meta’s Muse Connector Platform provides a submission process: describe the connector, submit it for review, and receive a directory listing after approval. Meta says review covers functional, security, and legal requirements plus end-to-end testing. Its small-business announcement also describes custom connectors for services that are not yet supported.
Badal already publishes its MCP endpoint, API contract, privacy policy, and recruiting workflow documentation. Those are useful submission materials, but directory approval is a separate process. Until approval, use the connection method your account actually exposes and verify it with a read-only account check.
First-session acceptance checklist
A successful first session verifies the account, reviews the draft, creates exactly one approved job post, returns the real public application URL, and confirms which integrations are connected. It should also explain what remains manual and what requires credits.
If no authenticated path is available, the correct result is a reviewed draft and a clear setup step. It is not an invented campaign ID or a claim that Muse has been connected automatically. Continue with the agent integration docs or the Instinct recruiter guide.
Badal turns a recruiter conversation into a public form, evidence-based screening, a practical assessment, and a reviewable candidate report.
